Lance Cpl GPD Warnapala was a welcoming face at the 2 SASC mess in the late 60s and 70s. In the late 70s he transferred to Panagoda. He hailed from Col. Dudley Fernando’s hometown in Matara and had enlisted in the Army at the urging of Col Fernando – ලාන්ස් කෝප්‍රල් වර්ණපාල ආදරයෙන් සිහිපත් කරනවා.
