Lt. Col. Gordon Llewylyn Spencer Austin

Lt. Col. GLS Austin was a pioneer in the Corps as the first Sri Lankan Commissioned Officer as well as the first Sri Lankan CO. The following photos have been provided by Sandy Austin, his daughter, who lives in New Zealand. Lt. Col Austin was an old boy of Royal college. He retired from the army in 1960 and worked at Rowlands, a famous British car company in Sri Lanka, as a director.
